Liver Detox Diet Easy and Simple

Nowadays many of us suffer from toxic overload. In this case, liver is our life saver. Your life literally depends on livers ability manage toxins. Liver cleansing is important to everyone regardless how old they are or how healthy their liver might be. It is advisable to do liver detox as preventive measure.

Liver detox formulas are designed to support natural detoxification mechanism of the liver. They include antioxidants and herbs. An appropriate diet is an essential component of a liver detoxification program. Such a diet would consist of fruits and vegetables (including beets, artichokes, spinach, carrots, cabbage, and cucumbers), oils, fish, chicken, eggs, fiber, fresh juices, water, and nutrient supplements. It is important to eat row vegetables with every meal. They contain a lot of fiber, water, and enzymes. Enzymes stored in the vegetables help the body to digest nutrients. Remember, cooking the vegetables destroys much needed enzymes. Supplementing digestive enzymes with meals can also aid digestion. Most beneficial for the liver are beets and artichokes. Beets help to reduce damaging fats in the liver and artichokes stimulate secretion of bile and protect cells of the liver.

Fruits are most beneficial when eaten half hour before other food. They pass through the stomach within 20 to 30 minutes to release nutrients in the intestines. If you eat them with other foods, especially proteins, or after the meal, they will stay longer in the stomach and give you the gas. Unrefined and cold-pressed oils like olive oil and flax oil help the liver to build healthy cells. Use them to make delicious salads.

Fish, chicken and eggs are good sources of protein. Eggs are especially great for the liver. They contain plenty of lecithin a fat emulsifier. Eggs are high in the sulfur-bearing amino acids. They assist the liver by bile production. While on the detox program, it is important to follow food combining rules that regulate proper food digestion. For that reason, it is desirable to separate proteins and carbohydrates like pasta or potatoes. While on the liver detox program, it is advisable to take additional fiber and drink 2 litters of water every day. Fiber and water together help to cleanse the colon where the toxins are emptied during the liver detox. Extra fiber can soak up these toxins and move them out of the body with the help of the water. A good flax fiber supplement also can help to absorb the toxins eliminated from the liver.

Making any kind of fresh juice is fast and easy when you use an electric juicer. Fresh juices from beets and carrots contain powerful antioxidants that help the liver with the detoxification process. If you prefer fruit juices, remember not to mix sweet fruits like bananas and sour fruits like oranges.

Nutrient supplementation might include multi-vitamin and mineral with the emphasis on B vitamin. Make green drinks a regular part of your diet. They provide an excellent supply of nutrients and boost of energy during and after a detox program.

Following the healthy diet during the liver detox program helps to reduce the amount of detoxification stress that happens when the body experiences the toxic overload. After completing the liver detox program, try to stay on the same diet and your liver will stay clean longer than if you return to fatty and sweet diet.
